Since 2013, Baileys has proudly sponsored the Women's Prize for Fiction, shining a spotlight on the outstanding and ambitious works of female authors. To celebrate the Award's 25th anniversary, Baileys launched Reclaim Her Name in 2020, re-releasing 25 books originally printed under male or gender-neutral pseudonyms, marking the first time these classic works were attributed to their female authors. This campaign ignited a conversation around the reasons behind women’s use of pseudonyms whilst introducing these works to a whole new cohort of fans.
TREATING EACH OTHER:
Diversity & Inclusion
At Baileys we believe everyone has a seat at the treat table, no matter your age, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, or gender. Treating is after all, for everyone. These values have always been with us. Baileys was born amid the Women’s Liberation Movement in the early 1970’s at a time when women were ignored by alcohol producers. After all, only men drank alcohol, right? Our founders rightly didn’t think so. Instead, they created the first Premium Spirit brand for women: part cake, part booze, pure pleasure. Since then, Baileys hasn’t looked back with an agenda that speaks to, and for everyone. It’s the delicious centre of everything we do.
Method
Treating is universally loved. It’s something we can all get behind and the very act of treating helps bring us together. Sharing this love is what unites us over ice cream and heartache, from Halloween to Easter. That’s why we work with local communities and small businesses across the world to create a positive and kinder place to live and treat. Here’s a slice of the work we’ve been doing:
